Hey guys.
I really need your wise advices .
So I am currently taking topical minoxidil 5% and dutasteride .
Now it has been 2 years that i did the switch from finasteride 5 mg to 0.5 mg dutasteride and it did strictly nothing more ! that is depressing.
My main is issue is my hairline which keep receding but even more my diffuse thinning in the parting and crown.
I have currently some longer hair , the same hairstyle as sawyer in "lost" and the diffuse thinning is shocking!
I am ashamed to seat in front at college....among the 18 yo Norwood 0 ( I am 27 now... getting older)

In april 2019 I had a consultation with Doctor ******** who prescribed me oral minoxidil , and I know that it could give me crazy result and fill my diffuse thinning. But this drug is really scary ( and i take dutasteride so i know what is dangerous). I know it would cause me hypertrichosis/ puffy face/ water retention etc...

I don't know what to do : keep going bald or getting even more side effects. And I have to act fast because the miniaturization is fast as hell on my parting.

Don’t be afraid of oral minoxidil. It will give you a few years and maybe more if the Dutasteride is effective. If you are healthy normal BP, heart function you can do 5 without an impact but I think your doctor will start you at 2.5.

PM your current photos and I will be able to better advise you. The last time I saw your hair it was still looking decent.

I have the same problem and dutasteride does nothing for me. After years of postponing i am on oral minoxidil 5mg now for 3 weeks.
It fucks a bit with my sleep and a bit more darker circles under eyes (but couls also by because of bad sleep) but nothing to stop it. Everything else is fine so just try it.

@bluecyclone u use 5mg every morning once a day?

@DoctorHouse What is your current regimen for hairloss?

I cover all my basis at all angles. Finasteride 1mg every day, Proxiphen almost every day, Laser Cap 3 times per week, Lipogaine for sensitive scalp every other day and TO Hair density serum on the day I don't use Lipogaine. Shampoos on rotation:Revivogen, Big 5 shampoo from Lipogaine, Nano shampoo from Proctor, and Regenepure DR. Never tried RU or any over seas formulas due to trust issues. I would never trust China now for anything.
