Need Suggestions for Hairstyle (PICS)

So I'm currently 17 years old and been balding for about 4 years. My doctor thinks it's a combination of alopecia areata with natural male pattern baldness. I usually just kept my hair long in the front and cover it up, but I really hate having lengthy hair.

I wanted to know if I cut it all short, like maybe 1/2 an inch all around would it look weird/awkward/out of place? What would you guys reccommend?

Whoa, it's indeed a weird pattern. If you want to cover it up, then I guess you don't have any choice besides keeping hair longer. If you cut it shortit would reveal everything.

Did you notice a patch of no hair one day or did it just generally fall out over time

It didn't fall out immediately, but it did fall out rapidly when I was around 13.
