Hi guys, I'm new here, so I apologise if this is in the wrong part of the forum.

Here's a little background story of me -

I'm 24, I wouldn't say my hairline is receding but I've noticed that my hair thickness is not as it used to be when I was 20-, the top front sides of my hair seem to be thinning, not at an alarming rate but nevertheless, thinning.
I've recently just started taking Dr Reddys' finasteride 1MG, I'm on my third day today & I've got a very small pain in my right testicle, I've been reading up on this and found a lot of information on it, none that is specific to me though so I'm wondering if anyone can help?

The pain isn't really painful at all, it only become a problem when I touch it or move to fast, walking does cause slight uncomfort but nothing that I would call concerning.
Is this a normal side effect that will go away soon? I've read that it's one of the less severe side-effects but when I've been reading other peoples stories and they seem to be suffering other symptoms aswel such as, penis shrinkage, water semen, I haven't experienced those yet, however what should I do as of now, carry on taking the product and hope I don't suffer anymore side effects/the pain stops, or stop altogether?

Also, I take other supplements aswel as finasteride, I take x1 multivitamin x1 Vitamin B complex, x1 Vitamin that contains Zinc & x2 Saw Palmetto tablets each day, should I discontinue any of these whilst I'm on finasteride?

Any information would be appreciated, thanks!

Edit - Does family history have anything to do with hairloss or can it be an indicator or what's to come?
My mothers side have really good hairlines, up until they turn about 40, that's when they get the "horse shoe" and I think around 50, my grandfather on my mothers side began going bald from the back.
My fathers side, my dad is 60 but he's got a semi-good head of hair, he's doing better than some of my friends, I've seen photos of him when he was in his mid 40s(I didn't really notice his hairline when I was young) and he had a really good head of hair, balding a bit at the back but for the front, it was a good hairline for someone of his age.

I've never taken finasteride, but in my research on hair loss through countless videos and forums this seems to be a normal thing for some in the beginning of their treatment. Most said it faded as time went on. Hopefully you'll get more perspective on this thread though.

Yeah I hope so too, the other threads I've seen usually include E/D, watery semen and penis shrinkage.
The replies are very malicious too.

Have you tried other treatments other than or along with finasteride?

Not really, I tried Minoxidil but I quit it after I got a bit of irritation, only used that for about a week

I've heard Saw Palmetto can stop hairloss but I've also heard that it doesn't keep DHT from getting to the hair follicles, only blocks it from your prostate(or liver?)

Ya.. So much misleading info out there. If anything, If saw palmetto does what they say, affects DHT and improves prostate health, in theory it should be beneficial for hair loss in accordance. I'm sure the lack of clinical studies has caused many people to not believe in it. For right or wrong, I'm not the judge.

It could also depend on the quality of the Saw Palmetto supplement and dosage/duration for many. Not sure.

This seems to be a common side when starting 5ARi's and I wouldn't worry about it too much. One theory is it is your HPTA telling your balls to start pumping out more Test in response to the drop in DHT. Sounds plausible.

I guess, I've watched a lot of that "steroid and hairloss" guys videos, he states he was maxing out the dosage on Saw Palmetto and it did nothing for him, haven't really found anything solid on it though, I guess I'll continue to take it though!

Yeah I've read that, I'm just wondering if it will cause any long term effects?
If I notice it getting worse, should I stop taking it? or should I half my dosage?
