need some guidance / advice.

Hi everyone,

ive been lurking on here for quite some time now, i figured its time to post.

I started taking finasteride exactly one month ago (1.25mg daily)

so far after a month i havent notice a decrease in shed, and it's worrying me a little. i understand this medication takes months to notice a difference.

I've attached some pictures of my hair, the first picture was taken when my hair was wet, the second picture was taken when my hair was dry.

is this diffuse hair loss? or male pattern baldness? and will finasteride alone help grow it back?

will the finasteride do the trick alone? or shall i add something else to the regimen?

After a month you won't notice anything. Your hair looks like the initial start of male pattern baldness but it still looks great. I wouldnt worry about it very much, especially now that you're on finasteride. finasteride alone is great, I'm taking it without anything else and so far so good after almost 9 months. finasteride isn't known for regrowing hair but sometimes it does. On this forum I've seen regrowth pics with a lot worse crown thinning pics than yours and they sometimes turn out great. Just make sure your finasteride is legit, proscar is the cheapest method and you should be fine.

It looks similarly to diffused thinning but I think you have too much hair to tell. I guess that's a good sign.
