I am among the minority who could not tolerate the pain from microneedling. I am using a Dr. Pen rather than a dermaroller. Reducing from 1.5mm to 1.0mm did not help. I am now looking for a topical numbing or anesthetic spray to apply onto my scalp to try to reduce the discomfort from the procedure.
I am aware of the typical numbing or aesthetic creams or ointments typically sold to be used on face and neck for microneedling. Obviously, those creams or ointments could not be applied onto the scalp (very difficult to do and too much of a waste). Thus, I am looking for a spray to apply the topical medication.
