Hello everyone! I really need your advice...I am 23 years old and I'm norton 2 right now...it doesn't seems to have too much problems right now...One day I was looking in the mirror and I've noticed a lot of little tiny hairs on my temples...so I was wondering if is there any chance to revive them and turn them into real hair...I have already started using nizoral 2% each day...and looks to have no problem...is well tolerated...Do you think using minoxidil just for temples it would help? Or just trying proscar? I wouldn't like to use both of them...Anyway...my plan is this....if I 'll try one of this product...and I'll have good results I'll quit them...with the exception of nizoral ...because I think using it every day will help me to keep what I'll gain back...I'm glad that hair is not falling down ...I mean...only a few hairs per day...Thanks a lot!

Minoxidil will help with regrowing lost hair. But when you first begin using it its common to experience a shed which most people being to fear the worse but its a good sign.

If your starting out and only have minor lose in the temples only something like Rogain foam wold work. Remember it may thin out your temple areas due to a shed but it will grow back. Just stick to the 2x a day application and you will see results in most cases.

However the temples have been known to be the most difficult to restore. Another option is a minoxidil lotion like the 12.5% Dr lee carries. It has been reported by users to show impressive results in temple areas and its a once a day application with a non-greasy residue. But you do have to keep it in the refrigerator.

Weather you would need finasteride or not depends on your family history and genetics. You could just be having a maturing hairline which is common in the mid 20's were the temples move back some what noticeable on some than others.

I fig my issue was maturing hairline when I was 23 after my family convinced me I was not losing my hair. Sadly they were wrong and I wasted time and lost hair. But my father has male pattern baldness so I should of known better.

My advice go with Rogain Foam or Dr Lee's 12.5% lotion depending on if you want to apply it once or twice a day. Both will last you a long time if your only treating the temple areas probably. If in a year or so you start to notice hair loss in other areas then consider Propecia.

Thx for reply...the idea is that my hair is thin...like my father....but it has at 54 hair all over the head...I've never noticed to shed more than 15 hairs per day...here on the this forum i've heard people saying that they're loosing hundreds of hairs...this is not my case....my family history is not so good for me...from mother's side every male is bald...:(so maybe I should try proscar from the start...I was thinking to take 0,5 mg per day and in the evening washing my hair with nizoral...regarding minoxidil....I wouldn't like to to apply it every day on my hair....is more simple to take a pill I think.

Erm, yeah if you are noticing regrowth anyway then I would say Nizoral, maybe some kind of stimulatory shampoo such as the one in my regimen. Also, if you keep a good diet and lifestyle and don't let your free testosterone get too high, that will also make life easier for your hair.

Flax (SDG) or HMR lignans also help with this, but only if you think your hormonal balance might be off (diet, lifestyle and some other factors are triggers, and signs of it are things like increased body hair, possibly even increased sex drive I'm not sure!)

Anyway, keep us posted! :)

Dr Lee sell it on his site at www.minoxidil.com

You local pharmacy may also mix it there. Im not familiar with the policies of your country. So I would call the local pharmacy first as it would probably be cheaper than ordering over seas.

If your moms side is bald and your dads isnt that would give you something like a 50/50 chance.

.5mg of finasteride is more than enough to prevent hair loss based of clinical trials for most individuals.

But if its not needed then you really shouldn't mess with your hormones same with Saw P.

Personally I would stick with Minoxidil for a few months and just keep an eye on your hair

haha you sound like me ^_^

Do what I did to backup whatever regimen you decide on to lower scalp DHT/5ar and inflammation...... optimize your liver health, reduce systemic inflammation, and from what I understand... CHECK YOUR THYROID! :)

See my thread in general discussions!

I could be wrong but... hey we all could be wrong lol and it's looking very suspicious at the moment in my case!
