Need Help From All Diffuse Thinners

Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.
I am 24 years old who always had thick wavy hair. All that changed about 3 years ago when I was diagnosed with a scalp condition called sebborheic dermatitis. Although, the condition is currently at bay, I have lost a lot of density and see diffuse patches on my scalp (enough to have me worried).

As fellow diffusers, I really wanted your help to know whether I should start with minoxidil or finasteride? (with a good rationale ofcourse)

I too have sebihorse dermatitis and i am currently on finasteride 1 mg for about 5 months...it works and i too have little diffuse thinning

I would say not to use minoxidil as it could mess up sebhorric dermatitis

I disagree because minoxidil can cause seborrheic dermatitis to those who dont have it but me as a person who has seborrheic dermatitis minoxidil didnt make my seborrhea worse.

I doubt its effectiveness as those dry patchy scales could soak up minoxidil and nothing would be left for the roots so it could increase blood circulation! How has been minoxidil for you?

I hadn't lost much hair...i was just thin everywhere! And yeah. It has worked very well; i mean my sides were so thin that it looked bald....but i am sure it is working and when i part my hair...i can see a ton of small hairs growing! I am waiting for them to become longer and thicker....then i will see the real results! But till now finasteride biotin and nizrol has certainly done the trick...i guess i will get the real results in about 2-3 months

I use finasteride minoxidil ketoconazole shampoo dermaroller biotin and i did regain hair but in the last days i lost a lot of hair dont know why but will keep you updated.

The funny thing is i only had receded temples i never had in my life diffuse und now my hair started diffusing because of the treatment i think at the end i will just shave my hair off.
