Hi, I'm 23 years old and have noticed my hairline receding since i was 19 or 20. I've always had thin hair so its difficult to tell if there is any overall thinning but the most notable loss is at my temples (Picture 2 on the Norwood Scale... though a bit more drastic). I've been reading through this website and a bunch of posts and i see a lot of recommendations for people with vertex loss, but not as much for those losing hair at their temples. Any advice you guys could give me about how to start with stopping this hair loss and possibly regrowing hair would be great. I really appreciate your time.
Cheers.

also... I don't see too much listed here in terms of side effects, I was wondering if there are any I should be aware of... like, say, sexual side effects. Thanks in advance.

If you want to keep the hair you have and not too worried about regrowing hair then propecia would be a solid choice. If you are worried about side effects, then you can use a topical dht inhibitor like spironolactone. this is what HairLossTalk.com uses (the site owner) and he raves about it. The problem is the more towards the front of the scalp the harder it is to stop and/or regrow hair. The further back the easier it is.

if you wanted to regrow some hair then you can add minoxidil.
