Hi all,

I am new to the forum and have decided that it is time for me to do something about my hair loss. I am a 58 year old man who is looking to regrow my hair. My hair loss is from just past the crown on top of my head with some scraggly hairs on top of my head. I have thick hair just past the crown and on the sides but I am tired of looking like I am older than I really am. I am interested in finding out what treatments are out there, besides surgery, that really work. I know it will take time but what topical treatments are out that there that people are having success with? I have seen Minoxidil, Rogaine, Propecia, Finasteride but more I research the subject the more confused I get.

I would appreciate any info you could offer.

Thanks,

Glenn

Hello my friend.I think that you are little bit too late to care for your hair but that's not my job so i will try to explain you the things you want to know.First Propecia =Finasteride, its the same thing.Minoxidil=Rogaine(Regaine) its the same products...i think you should deffinitely try the big 3 which contains : Nizoral 2% ketoconazole(weak DHT inhibitor),Minoxidil 5% with AA(Azelaic Acid) or without it..just 5% Minoxidil,1 ml in the morning and 1 ml in the night.(in my case i am diffuse thinner..so it's more than obvious that i use more than 1ml per application, cause that's not enough to cover my scalp, but that depends (the dosage) on what type of hairloss you are suffering of.and of course Propecia (finasteride - the active ingredient in Propecia) 1mg every day.I hope that you understand my post,i am very sorry for my bad english, but it's not my native language.

peace
