Hi all...

I cut my hair really short just recently and am quite happy w/ result. Still losing with 2 months on dutasteride...

Anyway...my scalp is SO SO oily...and so much sebum -- scratching my scalp (as now easier with shorter hair) would result in so much sebum in my nails.

I am using Nizoral. Minox5% seems to cause so much peeling of scalp.

Also...does anyone know scientific studying connection between scalp oiliness and male pattern baldness?

THANKS!!!!!!

Maybe a topical antiandrogen would reduce the oiliness. spironolactone was proven to have some effectiveness as an acne treatment as it reduces DHT (& therefore oiliness) in the skin.

Also maybe try some anti shine powder or cream like women use, I use powder on my forehead to stop it shining.
