Next summer I have a 10 year high school reunion. I REALLY want to show up with a full head of hair.

There are females I feel I have "unfinished business" with, to the point where I think this could end up being a significant, cathartic, turning point in my life.

My face has matured and is significantly more handsome than it was in high school.
My physique is the best it's ever been.
My skin is the best it's ever been.
...
But my F*CKING hairline!

I've been pretty dead set on getting a transplant for the last couple years regardless of this event, and I'm doing my research to find the best surgeon to fit my situation, so for the record, this isn't me impulsively jumping into a transplant all of a sudden.

I had been planning on next summer for my transplant...but that's the same time as my reunion! I'd rather get the transplant with enough time for it to potentially grow in some, or at the very least be growing in shortly after I reestablish connection with certain individuals from my past.

So my question is, would December be too soon for me to have the procedure done? At that time, I will have been on minoxidil for about 9-10 months, finasteride for about 7-8 months. I do believe minoxidil has already put me slightly above baseline at this time (about 4 months in). If I am above baseline in December, would it be unwise to get the transplant done after being on treatments for less than a year? I am aware that getting a transplant done as a lower norwood(I'm NW2.5-3) comes with risks, but as I stated, I plan on getting it done eventually either way, so I consider that a non-factor in this decision.

What say you, friends?

Do not rush with it for sure. And hair transplant needs at least 6 month to grow good at least.

Stick to finasteride and minoxidil and visit a good barbershop before. With NW2.5-3 you can make a proper haircut.

Solid advice...still want to hear some other opinions.

my friend was in europe for the past 2 months, this guy used to be a total woman slayer when he wasnt an nw5, this time around he got no action for 7 weeks and a buddy told me the night he did get action was the night he was wearing his hat. Id never be able to walk around happily with a hat on knowing under there is a mess, it such a fragile crutch imo.

In your case, if your under nw4 and its ten years after highschool id say you have an equal shot as anyone else with hair to rekindle some relationships you felt were left unsettled. Honestly dude, if you're not nw4 do not make yourself vulnerable in the hair department, get a clean cut and rock it. Honestly, this is where i find confidence and self esteem will benefit you most, walking into that reunion like you own the place and being genuinely comfortable with yourself and you'll be fine. The last thing you want is a weird hairline or noticeable scars/redness on your head that makes it seem as if you played with it.

If they are anything like the girls I went to school with, you don't want them now. They really fell apart.

This.

If long as you have a good face as you pointed buzzcut always works - it is just a plain haircut which tells you that you aren't serious about hairloss (for the people outside). This can never fail and can be your bet.

Honestly this might be my best approach to the situation...just assume these females are nothing special now, go, enjoy myself, and not factor the event into my transplant timeline at all.

Thank you all for your advice! I'm still open to more opinions...

This man is bald as f***.
I'd be a full head anyway over his muscles.
That guy is going to die young. Why anyone wants to look like that, I don't understand. He's definitely dedicated though. Even with steroids it takes years of consistent hard work to get a body like that.

Lol. I like burneika. But ammount of steroids which he taked are really huge. His testosteron and Dht levels for sure arent in norms since 20 years.

I bet he would eat dutasteride like candies every day and still experiencing ultimate sheds xD

video is hilarious. I dont think it is serious.

Infact I think he is trolling the average bodybuilder who feels entitled because of there mass. they exist.

Walking around with flared out lats while the skinny fullheads have fun

I would not have a hair transplant for a school reunion.
I would have it anyhow :)

Yeah, as I said I'm planning to have the procedure done regardless. But do you think December would be too soon for me? In light of how long I've been on meds

Honestly?
No. Winter-Summer has been a good pair for me in both cases.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards getting some consultations in the next few months and seeing about scheduling surgery for December.

The reunion aside, this sh*t is just such an imposition on my day to day life.

Feeling stressed every time I look in the mirror...when I'm around other people, always anxious that my hairloss is properly concealed...that's been my life for the last 2-3 years. It's a super unhealthy way to live. I'm beyond ready to do what's in my power to leave that sh*t behind me.
