I am losing hair around hairline and have always had very good hair. I have these yellow spots on my scalp where I am losing it. My scalp is very itchy and dry. I use nixion shampoo and have for 3 years just for it being a good shampoo not for hairloss reasons. What can I do to get regrowth and is regenepure a good thing to start off with. And why do you think that when I feel my scalp it feels like a shaved head underneath my hair. Please give me some advice I'd like go get this problem before if becomes something big!

it looks like your hair is receding.

there are two approved treatments for Androgenetic Alopecia (male hair loss), both i recommend for you- i'll just give some background information on them

given all the evidence i've read so far i'm inclined to believe that male hair loss is almost entirely genetic and caused by:
-Increased Androgen Receptors in the scalp (Testosterone is a type of Androgen)
-Increased 5 alpha Reductase Type 1 and 2 in the scalp (This converts Testosterone into DHT which is more powerful)
-Deceased AROM in the scalp (This converts Testosterone into estrogen)

there are two approved treatments:
1. Prescription 1 mg oral Propecia (Finasteride) once daily
2. Non-presription 1 ml topical Rogaine (Minoxidil) twice daily

-The first one Reduces DHT in the blood and scalp and tackles the main cause of male hair loss
-the second treatment is a vasodilator and it promotes hair growth

i don't know anything about regenepure or why u have the shaved head feel sorry

Thank you for your help, I've heard that rogaine is really bad for you though? I looked at your story I see that you had results, what are they like today? I just fear that using rogaine at my age might do more harm than good. What do you think about biotin and a DHT blocking shampoo?

i'm not really sure if rogaine is bad for the user - but these are the adverse events

most of rogaine's adverse events are dermatological - Contact dermatitis, Eczema, Dermatitis seborrhecia and hair follicle inflammation.

the Oral minoxidil tablets have these adverse events - fluid retention, tachycardia, nausea, fatigue, dyspnoea, pigmentation, coarsening of the facial features and gynaecomastia.

I looked at your story I see that you had results, what are they like today?

my hair line is slowly coming forward and the rest is very good.

What do you think about biotin and a DHT blocking shampoo?

there are a lot of mixed results for products like these. I think its a matter of testing them and seeing if you like the results.

In terms of finasteride – if you hear a bad rap about it and people quote clinical studies then you must check what the study is on.
-In rats Finasteride affects both 5aR1 and 5aR2 isozymes.
-Finasteride in human only affects 5aR2.

In the brain there is 5aR1 but not 5aR2
so the effects finasteride has on a rat brain is completely different to the effect is has in the human brain.
