Need a new Regimen..

I'm 19 and have used finasteride in the form of cut proscar pills (1mg) for about 4 months now. I was doing great and thought the huge burden of losing my hair so young might be going away. Then I started noticing I was getting side effects. I stopped taking finasteride yesterday and I'm now lost for what to do. I really cannot lose my hair at this age. I need to do something. What would you reccomend I do? Money isn't a problem for me and I will do anything to maintain or regrow my hair.

Minoxidil seems like a likely option but I really feel it won't be effective without doing something to actually combat what causes hair loss. Is there anything besides finasteride that will combat the cause of hair loss without inducing side-effects..?
