Hi guys. I've been reading the forum for some time now, and have come across a few treatment plans that caught my attention. I mainly prefer the natural approach. Not long ago I found a thread like this I found really interesting, but can't seem to find it again. :( I thought mybe you could help. It was a thread of a guy who really looked into natural ways to treat hair loss. He wrote about how scalp inflammation was a main problem, how diet and sleep is so important. He gave a thorough explanation of all the nutrients necessary to help the inflammation problem and to keep the bloodflow healthy in the scalp. Also he did not name any brands or products to keep the thread clean of suspicion. I think the thread title was something like his account name + " 's team/legion .." something like that.
I hope that someone recognizes it, it really was a nice read about the natural way.

You're going to waste money, go bald, and regret not getting on effective medications sooner. There is no natural treatment plan that works.

For AA, a natural method
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9828867
[h=4]CONCLUSIONS:[/h]The results show aromatherapy to be a safe and effective treatment for alopecia areata. Treatment with these essential oils was significantly more effective than treatment with the carrier oil alone (P = .008 for the primary outcome measure). We also successfully applied an evidence-based method to an alternative therapy.

Alopecia Areata is not the same as androgenic alopecia, it won't work, all you'll do with natural treatments is lose ground that you'll never fully recover when you do decide to use the finasteride...
