Nano shampoo...minoxidil-like dependency?

I've got two of the bases covered for the big 3 (DHT inhibition and Nizoral shampoo) but am looking for something for regrowth that doesn't require a lifelong commitment ala minoxidil. I understand that may not be possible, but...

Is anyone familiar with whether Proctor's Nano shampoo can be used and then discontinued without a grandaddy shed of all regrown hair? Thanks.

Hair that grows as a result of ANY hairloss treatment will be lost when that treatment is no longer being used.

BTW luv the avatar..............."Everybody wants some, I want some toooo wahhh" Better Off Dead was a classic 80's movie :)

Thanks BHD. I'm just starting up a regimen, and I don't want to commit to too many products if only one or two will suffice.

My thought with minoxidil is that it seems the mechanism for how it works has not been established, whereas the mechanism for the DHT inhibitors seems pretty clear. The development of newer, more effective DHT inhibitors with fewer side effects suggests that a finasteride user could more readily migrate to a different drug down the road and continue to maintain hair, whereas minoxidil does not appear to have any hair apparents (pun intended). I'm reluctant to start minoxidil, because I've read other posts that suggest that all minoxidil gains will be lost and can not be salvaged by DHT inhibitors. I also don't want to find out that minoxidil loses its efficacy for me within a few short years as some have reported. But with my diffuse thinning, it may only be a matter of time before I can't disguise my loss any more...then I'll probably get on minoxidil out of desperation.
