Very true. Unfortunately, it is an issue out of the scope of even the best endocrinologist. As a result, I think it’s incredibly foolish for this medication to be prescribed to anyone before more research is done. I am an in shape, sexually active 26 year old with a great job. These past 5 months have been one of the arduous events I’ve ever experienced but I will say it put a lot of things in perspective. Ie, what’s important in life

sorry to hear. my first month on it my libido plummeted, couldn't get as hard, etc... throughout the rest of the year it went through the roof! my sides were watery semen, increased libido, oily skin, fatigue ( can't sleep one week, sleep way too much the next) .. which isn't normal for me at all and had NOTHING to do with anxiety, it had 100% to do with finasteride.

The WORST thing I experienced and still do after a year of discontinuation is HORRIBLE scalp inflammation and very rapid hair loss. Never once felt scalp inflammation in my life. Now, still, my scalp just feels f*****g horrendous. It's literally torture 24 hours a day. As I type this, my left hair line feels swollen pressure, my mid scalp all tingly and burning and my crown like ants are crawling under the surface. I've tried everything. Nothing works, except alcohol. This is 90% the reason why I am still drinking almost every night. pathetic, but f*** it. I can't stand this bullshit.

It is all in your head, people just don't know what that means.

The brain is the most important organ in your body. It consumes roughly ~400 calories a day just for itself. It's made of countless chemicals and interactions. It is what makes you "you".

So dismissing a neurological drug as having effects that are "all in one's head" is ludicrous.
