I love this forum
it's one year ago when I began to use a minoxidil spray %5 alone , but my hair loss did't stop. it markedly increased a lot. every time I massage my hair with minoxidil gently or style it I lose about 10 hairs or more
I thought it's a good sign of hair shedding but i didn't notice any hair regrowth.
It's about one year or a little more.
I stopped this 15 days ago and started finasteride 1 mg\ day

my hair loss decreased alot and I can say it stopped
I'm waiting for the final result
but I'm asking if I'm on the right way or not???
do I have to use minoxidil again ???

Yes you are on the right track as finasteride is probably the best drug out there that will hault hair loss. I wouldnt get your hopes up that its working already after 15 days, but keep on it as it should help. I have never heard of the minoxidil spray I would think that stuff would get caught more in the hair rather than down to the scalp. Maybe try the minoxidil solution or foam rather than the spray. If u spray that sh*t all over your head and if it gets all over in the hair it probably would make hair sensitive to breakage resulting in more hairloss. But yes you took the right route by getting on the finasteride.

The spray is the only available form available in my country.
yes, it's caught more in the hair making it easily damaged

I could hardly find Nizoral shampoo in the market
but finally I could find it
It's sold here as a treatment of dandruff only nobody here knows it's for Male Pattern hair loss.
today I'll take my 47th pill of 1 mg finasteride
it's about 1 month and 16 days on finasteride
now I can say that my hair loss stopped
I pull my hair to the front with the palm so hard and I get no or only one small hair or even maximum two hairs in my palm
the same in shower
I'm waiting for hair regrowth

Keep using Minoxidil man. It doesnt work against you losing hair, but it thickers hair up, and encourages new growth. Finasteride works by blocking the hormones. So best is to use both.

it's 2 months and 7 days on finasteride 1 mg
I started shedding 5 days ago from a new site
the hair shedded is thinner and 1\3 shorter than the normal hair shed from that area

in the photos , my head is facing the lamp an arm away
what do you think????

I used 5% minoxidil for one year with negative results
I'm afraid to start using it again

keep your hair shorter. It looks fine. I have a 9 inch scar from a weight lifting exersize going strait down the middle of my head. I would not be on this board if i did not have the scar. I think shaved heads look fine. Im losing all my eyebrows! now thats a b**ch.

I shedded smaller hairs for a few months after starting on finasteride, I had stopped shedding by about 3 months. Didn't see any regrowth until about month 6.
Looks a bit diffused, have you tried concealers? (Toppik etc) ?

You should give concealers a try, you have the perfect situation for it because you still have a hairline, they would make it look as if you never lost any hair in the first place. Check out this thread I made about concealers, watch the video on the first page, the guy has similar hair loss to yours.

I would say tay on minoxidil. As there are plenty of hair loss product on the market today sometime it is hard for a person to find the right product suit their hair loss problem.

hi guys
I'm sorry for my late update

it's now my sixth month on finasteride
no great results
or maybe no results at all
but no further hair loss maybe the same
sorry I don't want to take a picture again
but I may know the reason
the generic finasteride " propecia or proscar" is not available in my country
so I had to use locally manufuctured finasteride called "nopecia" it comes in capsules not pills and it costs me about only 3 dollars per month in the local currency
so I started my search for proscar or propecia and finally could find it
lolI could find proscar in a small "nearest" pharmacy from my home
I couldn't find it in huge pharmacies
I cut the pill into five
till now I can't believe this 1\5 pill if I take every day will regrow my hair
lol the capsule was larger
lets wait and see
and finally I took your advise to restart minoxidil 5% again but I can't use it more than once per day before going to bed.
I also searched for the generic one but I'm sorry I couldn't find it here at all. but I think it's a better company than that of "nopecia"
the minoxidil is in solution called "hair plus pack "
and it's more popular here

after about one and a half year of trying I still have little hope to see results
I swear to tell you the results honestly if I get any
I hope to get my hair back again

I think it's about my second month on 1/5 th proscar pill + Minoxidil solution 5% + nizoral 4 times a week .
great results
I think so ,
that's obvious when you compare pictures I've taken at simmilar conditions

no erectile dysfunction - normal semen volume
but libido may be decreased a little , and maybe not
