Hello Guys. I started losing hair when i was 15 years old. I dont know if its genetics or not but my father and grandfather are bald and on my mothers side my grandfather isnt bald at all. I was paranoid because my hair was everything to me, I was depressed and kept imagining myself bald. I had relatively medium length hair before i shaved in June 2016.
I started using liquid Minoxidil 5% on July 14th 2016. Of course i couldnt see any hair falling out coz my hair was really short. When my hair was growing, I realized that my hair on the sides is much thicker than on top, and it was embarrassing. But that made me commit to minoxidil even more. To be honest idk whether my hair as thickened or not but my family told me that it improved moderately. Its been exactly 6 months and 3 days since i started Minoxidil 5%.
On December 26 i switched to Kirkland because it was much much cheaper. I kept searching and searching until i found Propecia. A medicine that stops hair loss from the roots. I started using it on December 16. I've been on it for a month now and ive been cutting it into four pieces (0.25mg). Of course i experienced a lot of shedding but i never look at the sink when i finish applying minoxidil because it makes me feel better.
Yesterday, i started reading about Propecia again and i read that its only for 18 year olds and above. I panicked. I read about its effect on a 16 year old and it says that it could stop your growth. I'm 6 ft tall and i have a fairly full beard with a lot of body hair. I told myself i might not grow taller but i dont want to risk it. I finally decided to get my *** off the couch and book an appointment with a dermatologist. Ill be seeing him on Sunday and ill be asking him about Propecia. I will be posting regularly from now.
