Dear Andrew
I am sorry to hear about your condition it must be tough.
The Phase II trial for ICX-TRC is due to start shortly and although I cannot say precisely when, it will be during this quarter - 3Q2006. It will finish sometime during 2007. There is a wealth of protocol that surrounds clinical trials before they commence (mainly for the patients' protection you will be pleased to know) which is what we are finalising now. Please do keep an eye on our website which will provide updates when we have them.
In answer to your next point, we hope so. We wouldn’t conduct a clinical trial if we didn’t believe that there would be a reasonable chance of it working.
ICX-TRC, if it is successful might be available in Europe in 2008. We don’t know which country will be first yet – it depends on how each country regulates cell therapy and there isn’t a uniform approach across Europe yet.
I hope that this helps.
Kind regards
