wow.. looks alot like me and I do have male pattern baldness. im just sticking it out with finasteride/nizoral and copper peptides. you on anything?

truking10, hmmm...looks like he may be right. However, I would encourage you to get a second opinion. At the get-go, it looks like you've got diffuse thinning. I don't know if I'd say that you have male pattern baldness as yet as your thinning doesn't follow the typical pattern. You still have allot of hair at your hairline but it's just thinner in some areas. Yep, get a second opinion about this being Telogen Effluvium imo.

You guys really think its MBP , i mean why would a hair expert in UCLA diagnos me wrong .. its all he does is hair! Not saying you guys are wrong its just really confusing. So you guys think i should see another Derm, or just get on Propecia. I just dont wanna start somthing that i have to take forever if i dont need it. As of right now im not on anything...what do you guys think

I kind of looks like male pattern baldness to me because of your crown. Maybe the Telogen Effluvium is jump starting your hairloss. Wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

That thinning pattern is quite simillar to mine. My derm also said that I haven´t got male pattern baldness (two years ago) and recommended me to get on minoxidil.

But for the crown thinning, and my family history, I think for myself is male pattern baldness. What else could it be? I started finasteride four months ago, and I have had a huge shed on month 3, so I think it is getting to the cause.

But the thinning along the upper sides of the back part of the head that we both have annoys me. Is that also male pattern baldness related?

No recession, no lifeless curly depigmented thinning hair, just lack of density in some areas.

I guess male pattern baldness has a lot of forms to present itself, and this is one of them.

ur pix. reminds me of myselfThats how my hair looked my senior year, i waited through first year of college and it got worse to a point where i couldn't grow it as long as i wanted. Started propecia that summer and stopped this may and its still thinning.

hey man

look, you have a choice. either

1) go to Doctor after Doctor who may or may not tell you that you have male pattern baldness and stay confused as your are.

2) get on propecia NOW (a very safe and effective drug for vast amounts of the male population), preferably informing your derm or Doctor before you do so, then 6-12 months down the line evaluate your hair. in between, relax and have fun. DONT hide in your room. DONT wear a cap. Dont shy away from girls. Try to have as MUCH fun as possible. Play sports. Go swimming. Just have fun.

If the hair situation remains the same or has improved, then you have male pattern baldness and propecia is working for you. if it has worsened, then you may have some other form of hairloss (which is most often only TEMPORARY).

I recommend option 2. You have lots of hair right now. dont get yourself depressed over what you may have lost up to now. if you do that, then a few years down the line you will have less hair and think "what the hell was i worried baout then".

You look fine man. no girl is gonna realise a few of your follicles are out of action. and you have very good density, so you can easily hide thin areas.

ya your right than you very much every six secnds i appreciate the feedback im actually getting a second opinion tomororw.

Its not like i dont like humor, its just i dont come on this hair loss site for humor because i dont think loosing my hair is that funny and im sure nor do you, so if you wanna help me out and tell me what your opinion is im cool with that and would greatly appreciate it, but to be honest im just not in the f*****g mood to deal with masturbation jokes.

At first it seems like the worst f*****g thing in the world.

A few years down the line when you realise it has made little difference to your life, it hardly becomes an issue, its, as more like a hobby now!

it would be easy for me to say 'yes I do find it funny' to make a point, but the truth is yes I do find going bald quite funny, I joke quite a bit about it to my friends, don't get me wrong I would rather have a rock solid buch of hair but hey ho!!

its cool guys i understand toattly, its just mine has just started or ive just notice it, so im alittle sensitive and worried and im going to Doctors spending money and all i want is the answer to my question..you know , no hard feelings
