My Pharmacy Switched My Finasteride Brand

instead of camber they are now only carrying this cheap Indian brand called aurobino. It seems super sketch and I really don’t want to switch to it at all. I can’t seem to find any pharmacy in my area that has the camber brand or Merck... wtf should I do

In theory it shouldn’t but certain medications have differences in fillers that can alter kinetics like bioavailability. There are also things like medication storage which can affect how much Finasteride you’re effectively getting.

You're better off driving farther to a different pharmacy, propecia runs at $100 for 28 tablets in the states currently.

If you guys are paranoid, search Proscar (change to brand) on goodrx.com, and put in 8 tablets for the price section. You can get it for roughly $40 a month because 8 5mg tablets cut into fourths = 32 doses, if you're able to cut them into fifths, then 40 doses. Merck manufactures both Proscar and Propecia so it's the same drug, and that's the cheapest way to get Merck grade finasteride.

But the generics in the U.S should be fine.
