I Would appreciate your opinion. Im a Norwood 2/3, but I am thinning quite badly on top. I tried finasteride with awful sides. I tried spironolactone with unconvincing results. What should I go for? Revivogen or is that too similar to spironolactone? Or go all in, and try RU? I Would be very grateful for your opinion, thanks.

What kind of sides did you experience? How long did you take Finasteride for?

If you are unwilling to take finasteride, you are not going to be able to do much to slow down male pattern baldness. I would recommend buzzing down to a #1 or with no guard and seeing how you like that.

If your afraid to go RU, try fluridil. But RU seems to be your strongest hope for the moment. It's not cheap but can be affordable. The hardest part is finding your proper.

But no your not all finished like many will tell you.

Also try different shampoos in the mean time to get started. If you can find nizoral go for it and a basic shampoo I like is nioxin system 2.

Hair loss is not easy to fight no matter how you look at it, and it can be a while before you find what you like.

Thanks for the reply. I use Nizoral which I like. The finasteride sides where really bad for me, so I won't be using that again. I'm not worried about RU, apart from the price. Am I right in saying it is approximately 300 dollars for three months worth? Very steep if true?

Ive never heard of fluridil. Has anyone tried it?

Personally if you didn't want to go the RU route, I'd consider adding revivogen and using spironolactone twice a day, it's a pain in the arse, but three months in and i'm pretty sure it's worked for me (and by that i mean i'm happy with the results and put it down to that combo and not the caffeine shampoo i'm on)

If you want to know about peoples experience with Fluridil the most notable success was monty 1978 (take a bow son)

Panthreclaw didn't really get any results

bit as Blaze points out maybe a bit more time was needed.

Other peoples attempts are too early to judge

Thanks for the reply sir chugalot.

Today Ive been looking at photos of my hair a year ago and pictures of it now, and it hasnt made me feel very good! My hair has definitely receded at the temples and on top. During the year five different people in my work have mentioned that Im "Going bald."

Last month I tried a number 1 haircut, just had it shaved all off, and it struck me that not one person complimented it! One said "where is your hair gone?", and one girl actually asked if my new look was an "accident". and was serious.

Sorry to go on a bit, but my point is I really dont think Im one of those people who suit baldness (I know we all think that), and I am starting to get to the point where it is the last chance saloon. Because of this, I am seriously considering RU. What kind of price range am I looking at for a years supply? This isnt a knee jerk to my bad photos, but a last throw of the dice to keep what's left.

Anyone with Any advice for me, please comment as I need all opinions. Thank you.

No problem, being a pasty faced person with a head shaped like a space hopper i feel your pain.

There's a huge thread on RU which does cover the prices and amounts used.

Off the top of my head though i think i paid aboout $450 dollars for 10g of the stuff, it might have been less but once i'd got my carrier vehicle and paid fed ex their fees it came to about £310 pounds for me overall.

Edit to say, within a 3 days of ordering it i noticed the first signs of regrowth with my current regimen and put it in the freezer where it remains to this day doh!

I was planning on using just 25mg in 1ml on the crown area, so it would have lasted 400 days, so pretty cheap, however i think the people who cover their heads are using 50-150mg. It's as pricey as legit propecia in boots i guess.

Topical Dutasteride, 0.25 mg in 1.0 ml vehicle every other day. Fluradil and Ketoconazole for enhanced AA and growth stimulation, along with Miconazole.
