this is what i've been using and taking the past 2 weeks.

xandrox 15% 1ml at night
5% spironolactone cream at night
xandrox 5% 1ml day
1.25mg proscar
green tea extract
centrum multi vitamin
dr lee shampoo at night 3x a week
emu oil shampoo and conditioner other days of the week

right now i'm left with bad ball ache and light headed spells. i have aggresive diffused thinning which finasteride/nizoral/minoxidil could not really stop after one year of use. sometimes i think it'd just be easier to accept my hairloss and never seeing thick hair again and just shave my head and move on

I totally feel you man!! I'm losing more hair than ever. I dont know whats up I'm trying to clean up my life too. I've cut back on the drinking tons and I've been trying feverishly to quit smoking (1 butt in 2 weeks). I'm in my 6th month of propecia, 6th of minoxidil, 6th of nizoral, 4th of Folligen, 2nd of spironolactone, and nothing... just nothing is slowing this down. It's amazing that I haven't even put a dent in anything... The hairs I do lose are shitt quality.

What to do... I'm at the point where accepting my hairloss might be my only treatment. I'm so f*****g vein that that's going to be so hard, and i can tell you that the first time someone cracks a bald joke at me i'm going to want to kill myself.

Anyway, let me know how that high concentration minoxidil works out for you, I may be trying that...

Man amss im using the same regimen as you beside the propecia and the multi vitamin and my hair looks good. My hairline is coming back and my hair looks great.

It started looking good after I added spironolactone 5% and Xandrox 5% and Xandrox 15%. Plus its only my like 2 months with this stuff. Gotta wait 6 months and on. Hopefully it will just get better like It should.

Man I think Nano shampoo and folligen conditioner is the best shampoo combo you can have. I personally think shampoos are VERY IMPORTANT in a hairloss regimen. Having a good conditioner that adds body and shine can save you a lot of depressing days.

Man I'm sorry that your hasn't improved, but you have a solid regime. My advice is add crinagen or revivogen for strong Dht inhibiting. Or make your own topical. I see you use proscar. Crush 2 proscar tablets, b6 and some zinc pills add water and make your own let's say 4 oz topical. I used it a while back. My shedding totally stopped.

If its getting down to a critical situation, maybe time for dutasteride? or RU?

Or you could try http://www.hairloss-reversible.com/my_approach.htm

ams & bomb,
Do you guys feel that your hairloss would be much worse if you had done nothing at all?

justin, i think i'd be a lot worse off if i never started anything. my hair has been thinning for about 4 or 5 years now, but didn't get really serious until maybe a year and a half ago. i had a huge shed from sept-dec of last year and a lot of the hair never grew back, and the ones that did were very thin, that's what got me to start medication to treat it.
as far as dutasteride goes, i'm pretty scared to start the stuff. i've been keeping up with the people who use it on hairsite, and a huge junk of people quit it because of awful sheds, especially in frontal areas (where i have little problem right now). it seems the drug has a huge affect on some people, because even after 6 months of quitting the drug, they still report higher levels test., problems with acne, and continuing sheds. it seems like playing russian roulette.

Is it my perception or does diffuse thinning seem to be harder to stop in general than recession & crown balding? Perhaps other factors are at work with this type of balding?

i'll tell you this, i know what i have has to do a lot more than stinking genetics. i dunno if it's from my eating habbits, or i got off too much, or a medical condition or what, but i know i wasn't supposed to start balding in my early 20s. yes, both of my grandfathers went bald, but i saw pictures of them when they were in their 40s, and they still had a lot of hair. my dad didn't start losing his hairs until his 40s, and then it was a slow process. none of my male cousins (i have like 6 or 7 of them, and some of them are in their 40s now) have signs of male pattern baldness, and neither does my brother who is 4 years older than me.
