My new regime so far

Hello all,

My previous regime was Propecia, Nizoral %1 and T-Gel.

I have read on many many products to add to my regime. Here is what I have decided...

Polysorbate 80 - I have been on this for almost a week. Despite the whole Helsinki Formula controversy, i found enough evidence to convince me to try it. It is natural, comes out easy, and cheap!

Results: My hair feels great after washing it out and shampooing. i have also noticed a significant decrease in hairs coming out. Some days, none do.
So far, so good!

Saw Palmetto - Again, i have read enough evidence to convince me to add it to my regime. i am currently researching the amount to take (any suggestions are appreciated!).

Spectral RS - This is supposed to help those with all around thinning...which is my type. I think i might give it a go!

Rogaine 5% Foam - i already have a three pack. i will start after a bit longer on Polysorbate 80.

There it is! i also seriously considered Tricomin. Maybe at a later time.

What do you all think of this regime? Any suggestions?

i read of a shampoo that had the Nizoral 2%, T-Gel, and natural minoxidil.....can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Hi,
I have been taking Saw Palmetto 1000-1500 mgs a day for over 3 years ,it must be standardized 85-95% and usually come in soft gels. It alone may not be enough, you may want to think about Propecia if it does not work for you. The rest of your regime looks good. Best of luck !

Thanks for the reply, PropeciaJunkie.

i have been on Propecia for a couple years. i plan to keep it in my regime.

What brand of Saw Palmetto do You buy?

Adding new products has been quite a detailed search! There are so many factors to put into place. Nonetheless, i feel confident about my choices. Tricomin and Spectral RS was close....since Tricomin has completed partial FDA trials and Spectral isn't even supported by this webpage. Nonetheless...Spectral has recieved good reviews elsewhere...and Spectral RS tackles thinning hair all over the scalp. Not many products do this as well.

Any other input is appreciated!

By the way....i love the avatar, PropeciaJunkie. Blackguards are wicked!

I buy mine at Sam's Club it's called Members Mark brand. You can also try Walmart, they use Rexall, both are fine as long as they say 85-95% standardized and are the soft gels. Thanks for the avatar comment, he is cool as hell. Any other questions please feel free to PM me!! Have a good weekend!

You should add your regimen to your View my Regimen button. Don't add apostrophes, otherwise it won't show up.

OK all.....a change has happened (grrrrr argh)

Spectral RS...i just read...does not work on frontal hairlines. My thinning is all over the top. I want something that will work all over.

i am considering Spectral DNC. They make the claim that their product grows all over, and i have read many good reviews on the internet that don't seem company-sponsored. Only thing that is holding me back is my 3 month supply of rogaine foam (do i really need to use both??) and the fact that Spectral is not a recommended product by the makers of this website.

Argh. What does everyone else think? spironolactone? Go with DNC?

Any product that contains Minoxidil WILL work whereever you put. They have to state it only works in the crown because that is where they tested it. Trust me I have used minoxidil for years all over my head and it worked.

I've had no problems but you have to see if you get sides, everyone reacts different. If you are seeing better results stay with it, Saw Palmetto is mild compared to finasteride anyway but maybe in combo with finasteride it is that little extra "kick". I am not real sure but I took SP for years decided to stop and I noticed my hairline going back after 3 months, I started up again and in about 4 months some of the hairs returned Good Luck to you!
