Hello Everyone!
First of all, this is my first post here. Apologies if i am breaking any rules.
Back in 2016’s Nov, i had various patches caused by alopecia areata. I had actually isolated myself & was studying like a maniac for my exams due in May17.
Then I entered the world of hairloss! I got myself treated however my stress levels were increasing day by day.
My sleeping pattern was disturbed, and i lost almost 8Kgs in a short pan of 2 months(Jan-Feb). Prior to that i used to gym hard, & used to take weigh protein.
Since then i’m having a regular hairfall, my top has thinned & few hairs look like thick wires.
My dermatologist recommended me finasteride, and i thought she is stupid to recommend me this.
So i hopped to another dermatologist and she asked me to conduct few test which include iron, serelium, D3, thyroid etc. The reports suggested D3 was extremely low at 8 where as one should have it above 30!
She prescribed me calcium, cholecalciferol & multi vitamins. During this period my hairfall reduced alot and grew healthier! But then my exam stress was back and at its peak coupled with anxiety!
I visted her in JAN,2018. Where she has mentioned capitis/mbp/acne/low vitamin D.
So she prescribed me D3 tabs, Multivitamins & ketoconzenol shampoo!
Ketoconzenol did help me get rid of the dandruff but it has made my hair super dry and surprisingly it has made my scalp super oily! Yes, i’ve never had oily scalp. Now when i shake my head swiftly, stop, then i can smell the foul smell! I’m losing hairs from all over my scalp, including the so called doner area.
I’ve super oily scalp, my scalp stays heated , can feel some unusual heaviness & pain on my scalp. Further where ever i had my alopecia areata patches, i always find some wounds at center of the recovered area.
Sorry for such a long post but i know most of the senior members here are better than the doctors! I’m hoping for your input please?
Further i am attaching my 1st birthday photo, haircut in 2014 and my current hairline. I’ve always had the M hairline. Just wondering what norwood i’m at with this natural hairline.
None of my parents are bald, none of my grand parents were bald. Only my grand father (faternal side) started to bald after 40 something & he is presently 82 with norwood 6!
My age is 23, and indian ethinic. I’ve scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist which is due in next 15days.
Hoping for some serious input, i’ll be thankful to you all.
