My hairloss seems to have finally stopped... what now?

About a month ago I added spironolactone cream and tricomin to my existing regiment and upped my finasteride from 1.25 to 2.5. I've gone through some ups and downs as far as shedding goes, but over the last few weeks it seems like my hair loss has significantly slowed down and all but stopped. That being said, the overall thickness of my hair is currently worse than its ever been. I used to just have slight receding at the temples and a thinning of the crown, but now my entire hairline and top of the head seems to be thinning out.

I am excited that when I comb my hair now after getting out of the shower, I no longer see it riddled with hair. I can run my hands through it and maybe only 1 or 2 hairs fall out. When I lather my hair up in the shower, I'm seeing much less hair on my hands than ever before (sometimes none).

What should I take out of all of this? Have I finally stumbled across the right synergy of products to combat my personal case of male pattern baldness? Can I expect some regrowth? Or will my hair follicles keep miniaturizing until they wither away and die.

How long have you bin doing finasteride, minoxidil etc overall? Did you start at 15% minoxidil or did you use 5% for a long time before you vent that high? Most people on this forum seems to respond bad to a that high % at first, but improve when they use 5% instead...

I've been taking finasteride for a little over a year and minoxidil for slightly longer than that. I actually switched to the 15% minoxidil at the same time that I started the spironolactone and tricomin. Before that I was using standard 5% foam. So yes, I was using 5% for a fairly long time before I upped the dosage.

I actually still use the 5% foam if I'm going out or being social since it makes it much easier to style my hair.

I am 21 years old, have a terrible family history with male pattern baldness (almost every man on both sides of my family is bald), and I'm currently at a norwood 2 with some thinning on the crown.

I'm really hoping that I've halted my male pattern baldness for the time being. I would love to have some regrowth, especially if it means reversing the diffuse thinning that seems to just be starting, but if I can maintain what I have I'll be content.

Erm, one would imagine that Tricomin + minoxidil would at least in time result in some considerable regrowth.. you can never be sure of these things but.. one would imagine! :)
