Thanks so much, you have a lot of useful info in this thread. I checked out minoxidil.com, maybe I'll try Xandrox. The minoxidil plus retin-a will probably be too drying for my scalp. I'm post-menopausal, and have dry skin issues (yes, I know this is a mens' hair loss site, but I visit here sometimes, and find some great info)
no probs at all - I wasn't aware that you were female sunnyone1.
In your case then I would definitely recommned the Remox over the Xandrox.
The Xandrox formula is thicker and greasier on your hair and makes styling more difficult.
The remox solution is much lighter and doesn't stick your hair together like Xandrox (Xanndrox can kind of make your hair stick like the old style hair gels of the 80's.... the remox to a much lesser degree). The remox also has better penetrating agents.
One more thing as you are female.... some of the remox solutions actually contain a percentage of progesterone. Considering you're post-menopausal this is more likely to be a good thing, however, I would check with your doctor and Dr Klein who makes remox to see if this is the right solution for you. Otherwise there's other versions without progesterone....
all the best.
