my first update since I started finasteride+minoxidil

Hey There,
So here is my first update. I have been using liquid minoxidil for about two months. I have been applying 1ml to each side of my temple focusing on my left side.
Luckily, there has been no irritation from it so I don't see a need for Nizoral and just using T/Sal for now. As for for the finasteride, originally I started on 1mg and got "brain fog" which freaked me out. So, I have switched to 0.5mg in the AM and in the PM. That has been going well. No physical or mental sides. Again, I feel lucky!

On some days, however, I do experience something akin to "brain fog" and/or deceased drive. Like earlier this morning. It just doesn't feel like myself. It feels less focused and indifferent. It is not depressive, rather just kind of "whatever." I am not sure if that should be attributed to finasteride or just "life" with it's ups and downs. It is a weird feeling however and I am pretty convinced that it was not there before, or not to that extent. I would like to know how can I avoid it or minimize it. For one thing, the quality of my diet, sleep, and exercise has not been consistent lately as it was when I started finasteride so this would be the first thing that I am going the change.

I am still learning to take good pictures in with the same light and angles. Here is what I got so far.

Looks slightly worse in last pic. Can see healthy hair has become miniaturized.

Maybe the beginnings of a shed, which is usually a good thing.

Hm I hope not. I certainly don't see any hairs falling out when I shower nor I find any on my white sheets...at least not yet. Is there anything I can do to minimize the shed? What should I know about it.

Does it matter for the potential shed where and how I apply minoxidil?
Also, if shedding is only due to minoxidil and I am about to shed I rather stop minoxidil and continue on finasteride only. I think maintenance is definitely more important now than regrowth.
Thanks!

When I stared using minoxidil around 6 years ago I had extreme headaches and dizziness. I had difficulties driving my car to work.

My advice is decrease dosage of minoxidil once a day at night. Start with .25 ml for a few days and if there are no side effect increase it to .5 ml once a day. Again stick to .5 ml for a few days and if there are no side effects increase slightly dosage.
I did something similar and it seems that I was able to adjust. Some people are very sensitive to minoxidil.
