Hair Regrowth

Xandrox %12.5 ( 2 times a day )---can't decide wheter to try this or the Topical Spironolactone 5%, or
what to combine with the latter.
*I read one review that said xandrox 12.5 made someone lose hair and not get it back...should I go with a lower percentage, is it usually successful?
Rogaine Foam (2 times a day)

Vits (daily) :
Multi Vit, Zinc, C, Omega 3,
MSM 1000mg
Grape seed extract 100mg a day,
Flaxseed
Saw Palmetto
Whey Protein with water in morning

Shampoo
Alpecin Caffein Shampoo
Nizoral (for scalp dryness, 15 minutes on scalp every other day, I dont have ANY dandruff though but my scalp does feel dry, let me know if its a good choice)

I have thought about revivogen but it looks expensive and it has so many variants I dont know what to get, I want a shampoo that would give my hair a thick look which the caffein one does and it is preventative for male pattern baldness so why revivogen--I dont want to shampoo every day which is why Im not sure about revivogen. Also if I use revivogen to just leave overnight
would it make my hair very dry?

Finally,
SoyMilk, Grapefruit Juice, Goji Juice, and a shot of wheatgrass every day if possible.

I'm still really unclear what my main treatment should be besides the rogaine foam. I want to give the regimen a year's run and see results before trying the big three and risking side effects. I am 24 and have just recently experienced hair recession and thinness mostly in front.

Thanks ahead of time for valuable advice and I'm particularly curious about making sure if any of the topicals should not be mixed or used at the same time causing them not to be defunctional.

those internals are good for your health, but have no effect on your hair. the MSM will speed up hair growth (so you cut it more often) but will not increase hair count or size.

Nizoral is very good. that caffine shampoo is questionable but may help.

As for the xandrox, why are you taking it and the foam at the same time? Use the foam when you need to be presentable, and use the xandrox for extra strength 12 hours later. I think the xandrox is very over priced ($80), and you should get the revivogen instead, and keep the foam.

Definitely use the spironolactone if you have it. It will compliment your whole regimen. Even if you have to use it EOD, that is better than not at all. Same with the Revivogen.

All of the revivogen types will be about as good. Try to get one with procyanidins in it, and no zink.

Do people on Revivogen use it every day? The only reason Im not sure is since Rev. is still a shampoo Im not sure if it would be good to shampoo and wash every day as in the past over-shampooing makes my hair dry out and flat but maybe thats different for this since it's a regrowth formula?

As for internals glad I know the score on those now ahead of time not to expect hair change, Ill prolly take our msm now.

If it's not a bother could you give me an example of a daily routine with the above mentioned just so I have an idea, and for maximum hair regrowth potential not looking good.

Do not use revivogen shampoo. Get the vials. revivogen shampoo does not regrow hair, but it does stink just like the revivogen (saw palmeto). Revivogen would be so much better if they left out that worthless ingrediet. But the vials do work. For max strength you can use them every day, but that can be messy and smell. EOD is OK.

Note: The strength of this whole regimen is unknown without internal finasteride, but better than some.

Morning before work:
*Rogain foam every day
*Tricomin EOD or every day. It works cumulatively, so consistency is not needed like with Rogain

Rotate these shampoos[/u]:
Proven:
Almost Proven:
TGel (Greasy) is proven, but twice the price and stinks. This ginger has the same active ingredient and other good stuff:
Not proven, but likely very good:

At night after shower: (I assume you are a day shift guy and prefer to look your best for the day shift)
*spironolactone every day right after night shower (unless using foam at night instead of xandrox. Then use spironolactone right after foam which is right after shower.
*Revivogen EOD at night, 20 minutes after shower (so 19 after the spironolactone)
*Rogain foam, right before spironolactone. If you want to use Xandrox (which I think is a waste of money for $80) instead of the foam at night, apply the Xandrox 20 minutes after the spironolactone
(it does not have to be 20 minutes, but give them a little time)

If you have money for Xandrox, don't spend it on Xandrox. Spend it on Tricomin. Dries fast, proven, used EOD it is cheap.

you might be relying on these shampoo's to save the parts of your head you don't get with the revivogen/spironolactone. Their strength in the long run is not tested. Nizoral is stronger than dutasteride in 6 months, but we don't know if it guards against damage or is just a stimulant.

Well thanks, Im going to try your recommendations, the shampoos alone look good for my hair even if there is no regrowth I could always be taking better maintainance. I still think most likely in a year if I don't see improvements Ill get on the more serious stuff and this is just an experiment obviously to see if I maybe can have some luck before that/ Im pretty much going to follow the regimen you listed word for word, if you can answer once more just to be sure you said to take the foam once after the night shower, then after 20 mins spironolactone and then again the foam making it a total of 3 times counting the morning or did I read that wrong, and it's just morning and after shower before spironolactone. thnx again .

OH and is Tricomin a dht inhibitor like Xandrox , along with this copper dimension?

again, thank you for taking the time I feel like I have some armor now to fight this

Using Rogaine foam and Xandrox is an overlap. Use one or the other. I think the foam would probably be easier to use everyday, but the Xandrox, I believe, packs a bit more punch.

Agree with CCS on using the money saved to get a good SOD. Tricomin is an excellent call.

Saw Palmetto is a waste of your money.

Only leave the Nizoral in your hair 5-7 minutes. 15 minutes is overkill.

Now, this is just my opinion and is JUST an opinion, but I'd drop the caffeine shampoo and instead cycle in T/Sal 2x week. It is a scalp exfoliant, and should help with absorption.

I would also pick up some T/Gel stubborn anti-itch formula, and use it maaaybe 2-3x per MONTH. I've read some pieces saying that the malaseezia yeast that Nizoral kills can become resistant to the keto in nizoral over time. By occasionally cycling in some T/Gel (which kills the malaseezia with a different chemical), you keep the irritative yeast off balance and in check.

Last suggestion, if you are not already doing so... EXERCISE. It's mandatory... good for the blood sugar, good for the hormones, good for fighting stress... and there have been studies linking stress to an acceleration of body ageing triggers.

I reworded it. Only use a rogain products a total of twice a day.

Tricomin does not inhibit 5ar or the androgen receptor. It has no effect on DHT. It works by repairing the damage that DHT does.

Lee claims that the azalic acid in Xandrox inhibits 5ar. There is no proof of this though, and Bryan and I laugh at it. He just uses it to dissolve the minoxidil, then makes that claim for marketing reasons, with one tiny invitro study to back it up, and many in vivo studies refuting the claim. I've heard of many good responders to Xandrox still continuing to thin over the years if they did not use finasteride. Use Xandrox if you want a bit more regrowth than the foam would give you, at a higher price and a lot more mess.

CCS:

You are incorrect in saying that tricomin has no effect on DHT. It most likely inhibits dht to a degree as suggested here:
http://www.hairsite.com/cyberconf/cu-5ar.htm

You are incorrect in blindly condemning saw palmetto as a worthless product topically as there are several studies that suggest the opposite. (I've posted one already in this forum, search it or google if you don't believe me).

To be blunt (sorry CCS - I have to say it), posts like these form the reason for why I think this board probably does as much harm as good. Virtually every thread contains false statements, assumptions and downright poor advice that misleads the naive, and fools them into thinking that hair loss and its treatment is a black or white system of things either being good for hair or bad. For example if you are indeed a chemistry student then I'm surprised that you don't have even a brief understanding of the body, because to say that the vitamins dale mentioned have without doubt no impact on his hair clearly shows that this is the case. Maybe you should spend a bit less time pretending that treating hair loss is straight forward, so that you wouldnt have to continue hiding your ignorance (and the ignorance that everyone suffers in respect to the complete causes of male pattern baldness) behind (what seems like) an overinflated ego.
