19.10.2017 - This is the day that I've started the pill.

-I'm not entirely sure but I think I'm in norwood 3 stage
-I'm taking 1/5 Proscar = 1 mg each day (as of now, it's hard to make equal pieces but I'm trying my best, some pieces may be 0.75 while others 1.25)
-Previously I've tried anti-hariloss shampoo, garlic oil and a shorter haircut but those didn't stop anything.
-This is the weird part; people say it's normal to lose about 100 hairs a day. I'm pretty sure I'm not losing more than that, but it is very obvious that I'm going bald.
-I'll make updates every month to share my experience. I may upload some photos maybe.

First Day : It's been about 6 hours since I took my first pill. I know, I know... It won't make a difference at the first time. I'm aware of that. Just sharing my experience here. I haven't had any side effects (like pain on the testicles, tiredness, brain fog).
I think the first week is also important so I'll get back to you about 7 days later. Then I'll start updating once a month. Thanks!

Not anything against you, but it's funny that the internet scares people so much about finasteride. I know because it scared me too.

You won't notice any hair growth for maybe 6 months, takes a while for hair cycles and all that. A lot of guys on finasteride, like me, just maintain. The majority of people on finasteride according to studies will have no side effects and no noticable regrowth, so don't get too excited.

You're statistically likely to be in for a whole lot of nothing. Finasteride effects hair slowly, hair grows slowly, and balding is a slow process. I wasn't sure finasteride was doing anything for years. Wasn't sure if I was gaining, losing, or maintaining until about three years in when I looked in a mirror and said "well damn if my hair doesn't look pretty much the damn same as it did three years ago". Five and something years now, same story.

I took pictures every six months but it's impossible to get identical haircuts and lighting so I found it largely pointless. After two years I stopped. Overall I found the whole process of monitoring whether finasteride is working pointless because it's so error prone and I don't have the patience for that sh*t. :)

Some low single digit percent of users will have sides and maybe 20% will have noticeable regrowth. Most will maintain and maybe 10% will continue to lose hair but at a slower rate than without finasteride.

I've been on finasteride for 5 years or so. I've maintained my slightly receded NW2 just fine, no sides.

10 day update...

So, guys, umm... I'm not one of those people who say "finasterid has dozens of side effects so don't use it" but... 2-3 days ago I had my first panic attack. I already had some fears about my heart - not related to finasterid. But I think that it's possible that adding up to that fear, finasterid may have caused this. So I'm thinking about quitting the pill to see if this passes. And if it does, I'll start again, if the panic attacks start again then it's probably because of finasterid. We'll see...

Lol i started 3 days ago and the sensitive nips are killing me, did you feel any high sensitivity on your nips?

id get off if i were you, or at least spread out your doses so that you're not exploding with excess estrogen.

What do you think about natural AI's such as grape seed oil, do you think they might help with the excess estrogen?
