I'd say 2.5.

the temples don't look that deep, but I think that's because the front has receeded a bit.

It looks like a Norwood 2.5 at the moment but if his hairline recedes a little more I think it is going to be a Norwood 3.

His hairline at the moment does not look too bad.

I would say Norwood 3 or very close. It's definitely beyond a mature hairline.

2.5, and this is why i'm against short hair for 2.5's (which I am). if you grow out a 2.5 you can really cover up most of that temple loss.
