I think this guy watches to much captain planet :freaked2: , you missed fire btw since your naming all elements. anyway, no young guys dont really want to keep their young looks, i for one just dont want to look OLDER then i should at my age, decent aging is fine now losing your hair makes you look extemely older. therefore its young mens worst nightmare. you say you have accepted it but i bet you a million dollars you still WANT hair. later enjoy your free mind and elemental forces... p.s you lose for giving up atleast we have faith :D

Any normal man still wants his hair, bald or not. what is NOT normal is using any means to get it like using drugs that noone knows what they will do to you in 20 yrs or getting hidieous transplants or wearing rugs. What is NOT normal is the severe depression and suicidal thoughts I see on this forum over hairloss. when nature says you WILL be bald, you WILL be bald eventually, at that point you have to decide if you want to be miserable the rest of your life or accept it and go on.

I did not lose anything, I gained self-confidence and respect for myself. There is nothing wrong with having "faith" that your hair will magically grow again with these snake oils and tonics. But the day you wake up and realize that it didn't work and have man boobs and a limp penis or that you have spent thousands of dollars for minimum results is the day you might want to consider acceptance.

Im inlcined to agree with "Just Shave It" here. If youre brother doesn't want to take treatments and just shave it....................bravo.

If he's comfortable, thats wonderful.

my brother wanted to go bald so he shaved his head and then went to laser hair removal for his head so it would be shiny.

my other brother said he wanted to look "more like a man" so he had head to facial hair transplant , so he has a thick beard now but he is shiny on top.

he told me yesterday that he was balding. well i knew he got temples but i didnt know they were growing.so he is balding.
i told him about treatments but he doesnt want take any health risks (finasteride) and only wants to spend 5-10 $ per months in it.he doesnt seem to care much if he gets bald or not.
its up to him, i dont want to tell him anything.

my 18yo brother is balding as well and it doesn't bother him...he doesn't even want to get on propecia.

I wish i had his mindset...im too vain, i guess...o well.

See how they feel when they get to nw3/4+ They just might change their minds.[/quote:8e7c4]

By then...it will be a big hill to climb.
Me, on the other hand...as soon as i noticed it...I freaked out...i noticed it at 22

He is 18 and he has diffuseness...he just doesnt care..we'll see what happens though.

but u accepted your hair loss..i didnt.

as i read you still got good hair . why cant you accept that its like it is?
thats the only thing i did. i accepted it how it is at the moment but still try to improve it.
and i show it how it is.

Because it will get worse with time....and the hair i had a few years ago was much better.

dont worry about future. stop your hairloss now with treatments and in future there will be better options.

or do you feel you are still losing it? do you hide your hairloss?

Bald men are so hidious that they are forced to enjoy simple things like dirt, water, and wind? Depressing.

Meanwhile, NW1s are enjoying the finer things in life.

You people don't know how good you have it. My hair turned to **** when I turned 13, and although I'm not even NW2 yet, the quality of the hair is like that of pubic hair, and yet even with all that, I'd still rather have hair than be bald XD.

I don´t understand that. When I realized that I was balding I freaked out completely. I was 24, not 18.....It was the most dramatic moment of my life. Why are they doing this? Are they stupid enough to believe that their hair will stay like that? Or they really don´t care? They will care when other people constantly comment on it, make jokes about it or he is rejected by the first girl because of it......

Then they often come up with sh*t like " I don´t want Propecia because of my health "(Yes, but the dumbasses have no problem with eating gene manipulated food or junk food at Burger King....) "And I don´t want minoxidil because it is so complicated"(Yes, comparable to brushing your teeths.....)
I have no sympathy for them!

CCS, you also say that you have no sympathy for such guys, but why are you trying to convince this guy even though he doesn´t want to? Just tell him about your myspace site and offer him to answer his questions. If he thinks he knows better, well.......

Ive been on finasteride for 11 months and Id say ive maintained in that amount of time....but still.

I dont really hide it...I wear my hair kinda messy any way...and my hair is wavy so it kinda hides it self...I still kinda flip it up in the front and it looks fine.

So, no i dont really hide it...but i do look in the mirror before i leave the house usually to see what it loosk like and play around with it a little.

i would say thats pretty normal to look in the mirror before leaving the house and playing with it. and if you dont hide it...fine.

whats the problem...i dont see where you didnt accept it?

The problem is thinking about the future, whether it will get worse. I have a similar issue, I accept the way my hair looks but just the thought of balding further annoys me.

no one every said anything about my hair. I think I'm the only one who notices, or people just don't comment. Interesting.

I have been told I look 30. big put down, since I'm only 27

most people say I look 21, and act shocked when I say I'm 27. I was afraid my 22 year old girlfriend would be bothered by my age. Neither was. It just matters what you look like. I bet you if I went for the hottest, they'd all say I'm too old, even though they are 22 too.

Sorry man but for me you look old. My brother, when looked, at your picture said you were a child soul imprisioned in a old man's body.
