I want to share with all of you my story, I hope it helps someone

I'm hispanic, male, 33 now and had a hair transplant two years ago, almost three this December

I never thought I could afford it, let alone in Beverly Hills with Bosley, but somehow I did and it was the BEST decision I ever made

My biggest concern was the cost and that is what kept me from even trying, let me tell you what I did:

I was classified as hairloss 5/5A and was recommended a transplant of 2,400 grafts to see the kind of results I wanted, I was pretty much bald in the front

the cost was 2,400 X $5.50 per graft = $13,200.00
then you get charged for extra grafts (if they do not do at least 100 extra, they refund you a portion of the money), this cost 100 X $3.00 = $300.00

the procedure was $13,500 but then since they were having a promotion, they automatically discounted $3,200

From the $10,300 the ONLY thing they added was $495, the cost of medications/antibiotics/vicodin/cleaning cloths/special shampoos etc.

So my surgery ended up costing a grand total of $10,795

I had a total of 2,614 grafts, the 2,400 I paid for, the 100 extra grafts, and 114 FREE

From my savings which weren't much I paid $2,795

I then went to my bank and they gave me a personal loan for $8,000

The term was 36 months - so from January 2009 I have been paying a total of $275.38 - I finish in December

even though it was expensive, I have been able to pay it with my low salary :)

ever since I took it on, I have thought of it as a car payment, but that will hopefully last longer!!! and it was money spent on me, so i don't regret it or fuss about it monthly

I have truly been happy with the results! I got my hairline back and I look as if I never lost my hair

I was pretty open about it at work and with family and since it really takes like 6+ months to see the full effect, the change was gradual

people that hadn't seen me in years have not made any comment and I think that is the greatest compliment, you really can't tell you had anything done

it grows just like my hair, i style it anyway i want, its AWESOME!!!

when i went back for my 6 month check-up, my Doctor said it looked great, i told him i wanted another one to make it look thicker and he said i didn't really need it now; how is that for honesty :)

he told me to wait a few years and see if I would lose anymore of the other hair i had and then to think about another procedure

well i have to say, i pretty much haven't lost any new hair thanks to Propecia which they prescribed

i was told the propecia would help me keep the old hair that was mixed in with my transplanted hair

the doctor said i didn't need any special shampoo or special hair care

regardless, since some of the stuff is cheap besides propecia, i use Progaine, Nizoral, and generic minoxidil ($18.79 for 3 at Target)

its all I've done and so far it has stuck and its the BEST way I have EVER spent my hard earned money!!!!!

i hope this helps someone, i never thought i could afford something like this but somehow i have been able to, its possible guys

no one talks about price and that is what held me back from even trying

just being honest

i thought it could help someone, the pricing and stuff is direct from my invoice

well i don't know what you have against the place

my intention was to tell people about the cost because when i first started looking into this stuff, i never had a clue

also to say what i paid at the place you dislike so much since here in Los Angeles they run ads all the time on TV and to me it was the best place i could think of going

i don't know about all thos other people you mentioned, but they were the nicest and professional to me

and anyways, why does it sound like you are fighting with me? isn't this forum a place to post your experiences with these procedures?

are we not suppose to talk about where we went? how much it cost?

2600 grafts on a NW5... yeah I'm sure it looks great... BTW 5,5$ per graft? Unless they did FUE that is well overpriced.

No pics ????

This reminds me of poster from way back when I started coming on the forums. This guy was praising a clinic in the UK then when he eventually showed his pics he looked terrible. It was clear that he obviously had no idea about what was achievable. In the end after seeing some other hair transplant examples he went to the U.S for another procedure.

Look at this valley guy 2600 grafts on a NW5 = no chance it looks good.

Fck that - If he really wants to help show some pics (proof) or STFU.
The fact that he's out of here just backs up the theory that he's a total shill.
