my 2 year update on minoxidil and Fluridil!!

now i need advice

fluridil is way too expensive..
is there nething i can replace that with?
something cheaper which will be similarly effective?

Spironolactone is probably cheaper as it has been around forever, but I don't know if you'll find a doctor willing to write a prescription to use it for hair loss. You might and you might not.

You could always use finasteride or dutasteride, as well, but it's tough to say if that will be more cost effective and more beneficial to you.

Go with finasteride. Nice length on the hair by the way, I want to grow mine out to that length.

Dr. Lee at minoxidil.com writes out spironolactone prescripts. Lipoxidil sells spironolactone with no prescript (smells pretty nice too, but its way to expensive like everything else on their site) and genhair has spironolactone also. Genhair.com's prices are nice, I dont know if their spironolactone is "de"-odorized though.


I thought fluridil was something like 45 a month? I mean thats hight and all, but it ain't a hundred bucks or something, and considering one can get generic minoxidil for 6 bucks a month at Wal-Mart (and even cheaper if you by the loniten and make it yourself)..........doesn't seem like all that bad a deal.

Which is a reminder to us all that if there is even the SLIGHTEST chance of ambiguity, always always always use the appropriate modifier (oral or topical) so that people know what it is you're talking about. "The devil is in the details", as they say! :wink:

search for eucapil / fluridil and u will find some results

its not proven but it worked for me

Yeah, I was talking about using spironolactone orally. I thought the thread creator was using it orally, as well.
