I will update as the months go by, hopefully this will be moved to the "success stories" section in a few months :D ..right now it seems as though I am a Norwood 2.5/3, can somebody verify?

Anyhow I started my regime today, which consists of:

nizoral 1% 2x a week
Rogaine Foam 2x daily
Saw Palmetto x1 daily

IMO your hairline looks like a NW2 but lets see what others say

it does look like you are diffusing though

IMO saw palmetto isnt going to do much help, the same goes with green tea extract

minoxidil foam should help

finasteride usually does wonders with diffusers
i know you are afraid of possible sides but they are pretty rare and usually the placebo effect

if i were you i would save up $90 and get 90 pills of 5mg finasteride that should last you a year

i dont think you would regret it

Hello everyone, I am already 2 months in my treatments and still hanging in here! I dropped the tea extract. I added more pics of my hair prior to treatment to my photobucket

again these are my pics PRIOR to any treatment. I will let my hair grow to the same length as the first set of pics..at this rate is should take another 1-2 months. I will try to duplicate the lighting. I am confident that my crown is much thicker, but we'll have to wait :D

the second pics dont really show the vertex "swirl" of the crown like the first ones

it does look like an improvement though

i would consider using finasteride

you cant see your hairline in those pics
so you really cant say what Norwood you are

what do you mean? I duplicated the hairstyles on both sets of pics (messy on the first 2 and brushed forward on the other 2)

Thickened up significantly, it looks great man! The comparison before your first 'before' pic and first 'after' pic is crazy, can't believe how quick it has kicked in for you!

Awesome news, keep it up and keep us updated.

1 year 8 month update :) no improvement and hair looking waaayyyyy worse than a year ago...still though seeing the pictures it's not as bad as i thought...though i sooo wish i had a perfect head of hair so my life would be perfect :(

my regime has been something like 3 months on rogaine 3 months off rogaine 1 month on rogaine 1 month off etc. I haven't used rogaine in about 2 weeks or so. Around the time the picture in october was taken I started applying vagina cream to my hair 2-3 times a week once a day.

I noticed that for 2 months my hair grew quite fast? it should be about 1 inch of max growth or so but the hair seems longer. I don't want to poke a hair out and I am not shedding in the slightest so I can't really measure it...unless of course I poke one out but that'll hurt!

I'm going to let my hair grow for a bit and see what happens...I've done it about 2 or 3 times already and everytime it grows long-ish it looks extremely thing and lifeless. The next few months we will definately see if the vagina cream works.

Why not just use the foam instead of some higely experimental stuff who can be damaging in the long run? When you stop the vag creame all the gains you got from it will go away... Do you really dare to use it for many years?

And you got saw palmetto... Why not just take the finasteride then? SP can also give you ED or boobs

things have changed a lot over these past 2 years...I am unemployeed and the little money I get sometimes I just use it to party....so basically I can't afford it.

I only use vagina cream 1-3 times a week because that's what the girls at the long hair forum recommend

I'm a bit confused by your pics. The October one looked liked you'd lost quite a bit of density, then your most recent pics look good again...?....is this from quitting minoxidil?...and why stop and start on minoxidil, is this due to cost?

And also, what's your regimen now?

I've been keeping track on this and another forum and this is 8 out of 10 people that claim to have seen very good results with Miconazole (vagina cream). It has a pretty great overall approval and I am convinced as well. I saw big improvement from October through November when I added it in 1x per day to my regime. :punk:

all my money's going to partying...I'm only home 2-3 times a week..if that....that's when I apply the vagina cream. I've been at it since october....I think the last time I applied minoxidil was 2 weeks ago...I honestly can't tell you how long and off I've been on minoxidil because most of the time I'm just partying and don't come home.

I haven't shed a hair since october....I am expecting a huge shed soon and won't be surprised if I lose more than half of what I have because I honestly can't remember the last time I used minoxidil.

In other news though I haven't lost a single hair in like 2 months...literally.

And yea I'm surprised that buzz cut grew into what I have now.

here are a couple more pics....first three I am making my hair as bad as possible and the last three I styled it to hide the hairloss. I can't grow my hair past this length because it looks EXTREMELY thin and lifeless (tried 2 times already last year), BUT I won't touch it for another 3 months and see what happens...what if I end up with a glorious head of hair? :whistle:

Without finasteride? I'd say so, yeah. Without inhibiting the cause of male pattern baldness (follicles miniaturising with exposure to DHT) then anything else you do will be a very temporary measure at best; your follicles will continue to shrink regardless.
