MSM - Safe Dosage!

Hi,

Is it safe to take a dosage of 4 x 1000mg MSM pills daily?

I ask because although I know that there is no specific 'RDA' for MSM, the pills that I take contain different types of additives in them. I know pure MSM is safe to take but what about the pills, any advice?

I'm not a Dr. - and can't give you a definitive answer - but I've been doing 3000 MG daily (2 * 1500 mg GNC tabs) for the last few months and haven't noticed any problems.

i think it's better to take the MSM lignisul than the "normal" MSM. The lignisul is extracted from pine trees and much more bio-available.

by the way, anyone here succes with MSM or biotin, please let me know!

It was written by 3 doctors who really believe in MSM (for pain killing and inflamation killing). They write there that it is VERY safe and you can consume it in very large doses. Even up to 6 or 7 grams a day. So I guess you're just fine.

you cant really overdose on msm.

the worst that would happen if you nailed about 50grams would be the shits and a stomach ache.

its like overdosing on vitamins

I think pure MSM in large quantities is good for you but I'm not sure about the stuff in pill form.

The MSM pills that I've got have fillers like Dicalcium Phosphate and Silicon Dioxide in them.

I think once the pills have been used up I'm going to get some pure MSM instead.

No

I have always considered regrowth to hair growing on bald areas that used to have hair on them before the dreaded male pattern baldness struck.

Unlike many other treatments, MSM generates results quickly. You will see increased thickness a few days after taking msm.

My hair is looking a bit fuller recently - no serious regrowth to report though. If I'm making any gains - it's more likely due to the fact that I'm coming into month 6 on 1 - 1.25 mg proscar every other day (sh*t - forgot to take it this morning

The MSM has (unexpectedely) helped cure some rotator cuff problems I had. Fixed it up after 2 months of 2000 mg daily.
