Moving From Proscar to Fincar?

Hopefully I'm a good news story on here in that I've been taking Proscar (and minoxidil, although I'm suspicious about what benefits that has) for 15 years and I've basically maintained my hairline during that time.

My problem now is that I don't have a prescription and, given that Inhousephramacy are out of stock, can't find a Proscar source.

Could I get Fincar instead or is that a risk? After 15 years of benefits I obviously don't want to go back to square one!

Any help much appreciated.

Sorry mate, forgive my ignorance here but Proscar and Fincar are both the same thing ie Finasteride.

I don't read this forum enough to know if there are any horror stories from moving from one to the other.

I did this and jumped back on brand after 4 months of hell. I'm not sure if generic doesn't absorb like brand or I was going through a cycle of my hair adjusting to generic. Best of luck. Let us know how it goes in 8 months.
