I just happend to notice that most of the members posting success stories are members with newbies status. Many something between 10-50 posts only..
How come people fighting hairloss for a long time almost no success stories and those newbies have amazing results and go in here to post about it.

I just find it quite mysterious.. Am i alone?

It's probably not a coincidence. If somebody has great success, they don't need to stick around. The people with hundreds of posts are those that have tried lots of products and ideas, and are still looking for solutions.

i agree with that. I notice from myself, i return to the forums whenever i am shedding, to see if there is anything new, or to read some optimistic posts.

Also people and doctors know more about hairloss today, most guys are accepting the problem, and are just taking meds and continue life. If you were in these forums 5-6 yrs ago there was much denial and paranoia around...

Oki :) Sound logical enough!!

And i totaly agree with the claim about hanging around in this forum more often when things looking like sh*t.

Like for me now.. Been on Fincar for 3 month.. No-Sides except had 2 times some testicular pain. One kinde big hurt and next less.. and last time just a sensation of that.. The rest is up and working like never before.
But it seems to have speed upp my shedding quite bad for last month. The itching is back too, more than ever.
I had big plans for heavy regimen, but decided to only stick with Fincar and Revita Shampoo at first.. too see what works.. Want too save the minoxidil for later if needed. So is it a good sign or bad? If it don't grow back what i lost so last 3 month.. I guess I will hate finasteride forever becouse its no doubt it speeds upp the loss. It feels like the first big shed i had when i go from norwood 1 to norwood 1 1/2 in a year or so. The time i got a little paranoid about it, not even beliving it was true this happaning to me.
So should I freak out again?? stopping the meds!!

I've just started my treatment. From what I've seen on the success stories it looks like the people who lost hair very slowly over the years and are still in their 20s or early 30s, have the best results. People who were almost bald at 22 have less good results.

I think it's probably to do with the mind set people have when they join the forum, too.

If they're joining to complain or look for support, then they probably aren't going to end up coming here because that's just not the kind of people they are. I imagine people who post here usually join for the sole purpose of reporting their success and maybe helping people out.

Yeah, if I had the solution I wouldn't be searching for it on forums.

I came here in 2007 and have had great success. I haven't posted a success story yet, but probably should. Even though meds are working well I stick around to offer others help, support and advice and just stay up to date on the latest hair loss gossip and news!
