I have these lump bumps on my scalp. Some say its folliculitis then another derm says its fungus and there giving me diff meds

I still think it has a connection with my diffuse hairloss. But if I'm already starting to see a horseshoe pattern. Its male pattern baldness for sure right? I was gonna go bald 1 or the other. Bumps or no bumps correct?

Folliculitis can be either bacterial or fungal in origin. Either form can be found in the presence of male pattern baldness and treatment of both have been shown to improve regrowth during treatment. In most cases you can't tell which type you've got just by looking at it, so if a derm tried to, then yes, they are a goof.

It would definitely be beneficial for you to treat it, but it is definitely good to try and determine which form you have first for the best treatment. Anti-fungals don't do squat for a bacterial infection and antibiotics (anti-bacterials) can make a fungal infection worse.
