Mate... i used to have hair to my shoulders... i wasn't amazingly scared about hairloss at the time, but aware of it... i cut it short about 2 inches and was wrapped... people commented on how much better i looked... since then i have had it as short as 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch and will never go shoulder length again.

You can definately cover it up with a bit of a messed up brushed forward effect... go out and by the V05 Reworkable Putty and use that and you'll be wrapped... see the Garnier Fructis thread on this forum. I think personally you'll be happier with shorter hair. I DEFINATELY was... dont be scared.

As i said... i was much happier with it shorter. Why dont you go half way then? Just cut it say 4 inches long... to your cheek level then think about it from there. Having shorter hair often makes it easier to cover up the hairloss as the hairs dont clump together and sit straight down. You could cut it short and go for the messed up look as your new hairstyle. People wont think its strange... they'll except it as your new hairstyle from the word go... believe me. Dont hide behind your hair too long and never be able to answer that question "i wonder if it looks better shorter?" coz it probably will.

I always remember thinking to myself... sh*t i wish i cut it years ago! once it was short. i had it long from 15 years old till 19... Its up to you...
