missing propecia for a few days

i've been on propecia for a lil over six months. ordered pills from canada which are slightly cheaper and exactly the same instead of getting them from my doctor. thing is i ordered when i had like 5 or 6 pills and am down to my last one. I split the last few but i know i'm probably gonna miss a few or more days. My question is if i miss taking propecia for a few days or maybe like 4 or 5 tops will this affect how propecia is working on my body or mess with the rhythm of the drug on my body ??????

no absolutely not...dont worry about it...it takes a week or two for dht levels to get close to baseline again.

just out of curiosity. lets say i stopped for two weeks and my dht levels returned to baseline. would this mean that if i started treatment again it would be like restarting the whole process and that i would have to go through the early shed and everything ??????

that question is impossible for us to answer...no one knows...sheds are very unpredictable.

If you miss a few days, it will probably not be a big deal. Two weeks might start a shed, however.

I can't see any reason that would happen. I think you need to just relax a lot.

Here's the thing - if you can't take it every day and miss a couple of weeks, big frickin' deal. Just start taking it again. If you shed, you shed. If you don't, you don't. If, however, you decide to just say "well, i screwed up and I don't want to risk a shed, so I'm not gonna take it anymore".... well, then you lose any chance of benefit from the drug.

Just reeeeeelax.

Add in another anti-loss product to make sure you have something to help maintain your hair, as well, just to make you feel safer. rogaine foam, revita, nizoral, maybe some unproven hair remedies like saw palmetto or whatever other flavor of the week is thrown out there....

but above all, chill dude. a shed isn't the end of the world. it's a sign that it's WORKING.
