Minoxodil - Vellus hairs?

Hey.

I started using minoxidil three months ago. I use the 1 ml applicator for my hairline only - I often wonder how those who use it all over the scalp manage to cover the area with this amount.

Anyway, I've been using it exclusively for my hairline. And I've now got lots of vellus hairs (very fine, very blond) growing all along my hairline. My question is whether these will turn into full, darker hairs - or whether they will stay vellus.

I can't imagine they will turn into grown hairs as if so it will mean I've regrown my entire hairline, something I've never seen on any forum, anywhere.

Plus these vellus hairs, although more prominent, longer along my hairline also appear over my forehead (most likely because of the unavoidable drip. My eyebrows are also getting much hairier due to this drip problem). Therefore as these forehead hairs will never grow fully I presume the longer, more prominent hairs along my hairline won't either?

cant really say for sure, in my experience some of them turned into fully grown hair and some just stayed into vellus hair. either way i think you will find out around the 4-6 month mark.if the areas around the hairline are slick bald apart from a few vellus hair than chances are there not gonna turn terminal but if you have a good amount of hair there then the chances are higher

I use between 3-4ml all over my head every treatment. 1 bottle usually lasts me 2 weeks

Yeah 1ml doesn't nearly cover the entire scalp. I use about 1.5ml and I only apply it to my receding temples and the back of my crown area.

My personal experience, as a minoxidil user of three years: Some of them, mostly in the far corner of your temples, will. But the majority of them, around 90%, won't.

That being said, everybody reacts differently and that is just my experience. The "younger" your hair loss, i.e. the shorter the time you have been actively balding, the bigger your chances of reviving them.
