Very little or none. I have had success on filling in my temples, crown, and thinning hairline, but have not managed to stop the inevitable genetic condition in my family of a receiding hairline. I can tell because I have this one birthmark that is close to my hairline and I can guage my hairline's progress by comparing it to the birthmark.

It sucks to contemplate this reality because you know you are not going to lose it all, just partially. At this point I am a Norwood 2 (Was a NW1.5 last year), and I don't seem to see any current remedy for this condition at the moment. Please share any similar experiences you may have and disclose what you have been doing about it...

Tried minoxidil and hated everything about it. It did nothing for my hairline which is very precious to me. Got rid of the minoxidil and hope I never have to resort to using it again, however feel that it might be inevitable.

Got on propecia as soon as I could, after learning about it and have kept my hairline in tact for about a year now.

I'm sorta seeing what you're talking about X... I've got places on my hairline that just shot way back, but it stopped and won't go any further.I can live with it of course, because it doesn't look bad, but it didn't go like the rest of the hairs are going. It just sorta disappeared. I'm still holding the rest pretty good though. I think the temples are just maturing, but the rest is male pattern baldness.

Xzel aren't u using Propecia too??
Anyway, I have been using minoxidil on my hairline for 8 months now and results are quite weird. My hairline is still receeding a little bit, however I'm regrowing new hair at the same time!?

minoxidil has done well for me hairline over the last year. I was on finasteride for years before it with continued recession/thinning in front. My hair now looks 100% better than a year ago thanks to minoxidil. I got some good hairline regrowth and good tthickening too.

I use Lee's, I wouldn't be able to use 5% minoxidil if not for his formula. The others dry too slow, make hair look like poopie-doo and cause me too much itch and flake.

I'm optimistic 'bout minoxidil continuing to do the job for me, hopefully for many years.

I also just started using the new Japanese product T-flavanone. I've only applied 4 times thus far, but I like the stuff, and the studies behind it look solid. I gots hopes for it helping as well.

minoxidil really hasnt helped my hairline much.

I think overall it has improved the quality of my hair, but the hairline has remained the same - no "new" hairs or improvement of the hairline. Its possible I may have lost some ground, but I cant say for sure.

I am topical only now using folligen spray(applied with minoxidil dropper), spironolactone, and 5% minoxidil. I think this current regimen is working nicely

peace out.

Nope, I quit about a year ago. It just wasn't pleasing me with the side effects and shedding. I have had much better sucess using SP and minoxidil combined with anti-oxidants. My hairline is pretty stable, only that I guess the minoxidil took a little while to finally kick in over this past year (I only started it on the hairline 11 months ago). Also, I had been comparing it to pics from 3 years ago (obviously it would of been different), so I guess there is still room for hope...
