First u must go to dermatologist to check out what is the real cause of large temples and rare hair ,minoxidil is not for everyone !! but in case you could use the minoxidil you should take treatment two time per day for at least 3-4 -6 months to see any benefits.minoxidil works better in front area on a scalp and works best for younger patients . women is better responder to minoxidil than man and let's say that minoxidil works for 40% of people. if you are good responder
you could gain about 15% hair that was gone in lost area. And when u stop taking minoxidil all hair you gained will fall out ...and yes minoxidil can make your hair thicker ! :punk:

K thank u... I.m saying that i'm not balding because my hair is not falling...just 4-5 hairs per day.But my hair is really rare.Maybe if I.m not balding minoxidil wont help me and if he does maybe i'll not loose my hair that i've already gained.

Looks like you're starting to thin to me. If it were me I would jump on Propecia and Nizoral ASAP. If you are afraid to take oral drugs then Minoxidil and Nizoral are your next best bets.

Ok... I got it...regarding falling of hair...I've never noticed hairs when I take a shower or on my pillow...so where the hell is my hair ?:) I barely notice some on my clothes sometimes. The real think is that I have this kind of hair ,I mean thin hair ,since I was pretty young at the age of 14 maybe. My dad hair is like this kind ... but I think he has more hair at the forehead, i'm not sure maybe is just my impression.I don't really want to start with drugs...maybe I don't really need it.But minoxidil I think I should try...

If I was you I'd avoid minoxidil for now.

I would get on a low dose of finasteride and use Nizoral and a PO shampoo.

why should I avoid using of minoxidil?I really want to have some regrowth...especially at the right side where I've lost some hairs 2 years ago.

you are still at an early hairloss stage, if you stick to finasteride+nizoral for now you may get the regrowth you want without having the hassle of greasing up your head daily, if you do not get the regrowth your want then you can add minoxidil at a later date.

For most people male pattern baldness is not noticeable until it's too late (for example me). The science of hair goes like this: we have about 100,000 hair follicles and each one has a cycle of about 5-6 years. When a hair follicle comes to the end of its cycle it is shed, so if you do the maths 100k/(356*5)=50, basically a normal person shed anything between 50 to 100 hairs per day. The problem starts when the DHT attacks the hair follicles and the new hair doesn't grow as thick as the previous one. Then the hair becomes thinner and the cycles shorter. That's why most of us do not notice any increased shed.

If you take finastride, in effect you reduce the DHT in your blood and stop it from attacking your follicles. Thus increasing the chance of healthy hair. You have to bear in mind that you block DHT for as long as you take finastride, the moment you stop taking it, you go back to your base level. Any gain may be lost in several months.

If you apply minoxidil, you are forcing the follicles into action but this forced action lasts for as long as you keep applying the minoxidil. Think of minoxidil as fertiliser, its effects are temporary. The moment you stop applying it, in a few months all the gain is lost. But this method is also the safest of the two. It's a topical application with minimum risk. If you can commit yourself to applying minoxidil twice a day, go for it....

I don't really what to think...if i'm going bald or not...my dad is 52 and head full of hair but a thin hair...i have to consult a doctor...I'm also afraid of the thought of taking drugs and using minoxidil.Maybe this can give an addiction and after i'll stop using it besides I'll loose the gained hair i'll loose everything that I still have.
