minoxidil

Guys,

I'm considering starting minoxidil but have a few questions first. Here they are:

1) Where can I buy it and how much does it cost?
2) I'm pretty sure from what I've read over time that this needs to be applied daily. Is that so? How long do you leave it on for?
3) I have some slight thinning up top, but since starting finasteride, it's now a lot better and practically unnoticeable. I want to use minoxidil for my swirl in the back which I feel is turning into a bald spot. If I use minoxidil and get this spot looking better or to the point where I'm happy, can I then get off of minoxidil and use just finasteride but keep that hair I gained with minoxidil. Please let me know, this is perhaps the most important question that I'd like answered.
4) How long does it take to see results?

Any more info would be helpful guys. Again, I'm satisfied with my hairline and my hair overall, it's just the damn swirl in the back of my head that I feel is getting bigger and thinner so this is where I want to use the minoxidil. Alright, that's it...I now await your advice.

Hey there

1) --- dunno ---

2) TWICE daily if you want regrowth.

3) If you're on finasteride, and you've seen regrowth, how can the swirl be "turning into" a bald spot? If finasteride is working for you, it's not going to get any worse is it? Also, maybe that swirl is naturally what your hair looks like? Maybe finasteride alone will fix it - you've only been on it for .. 8 months or so?

The hair you regrow with minoxidil CANNOT be maintained with finasteride alone. You have to continue applying minoxidil daily (although I heard that only once a day will do for minoxidil maintenance). Sucks eh?

4) some people have reported growth within a month

I know nothing about applying minoxidil. How long does it take to apply? How long do you keep it on for? I'd go to that myspace link above but I can't access myspace from my work computer.
