It is used as pill form to lower blood pressure.

The original side effect was that it resulted in hair growth via acting through a particular channel.

Is is not listed as a side effect. But i have found out from experience that when i use minoxidil 5% spray my blood pressure jumps almost immediately. Cant find anything about it on the internet or many people that it has happened to them.
