minoxidil vs finasteride/dutasteride and hair dependancy on them - question

I've seen people list as a negative against minoxidil that the hair you grow with it is completely dependant on the minoxidil, and as soon as you stop using minoxidil you lose the hair you gained on it. My question is, doesn't the same apply to any dht-inhibiting drug you take?

Yes. DHT inhibition is not a "cure".

Well I guess another way to word my question is, is taking dht-blocking drugs have a more long-term effect on your hair than something like minoxidil?
