Starting yesterday, I decided to start applying Rogaine foam three times a day and Kirkland brand minoxidil liquid once at night. I have been applying up to two to three times the recommended dosage each time, and so essentially I have been about using about 10 times the recommended dosage everyday. Since I am using so much of the stuff, I decided to look up some side effects of minoxidil and was alarmed to find out that many people experienced dark under eye circles, wrinkles on their face and a bloated face. Some people claim that minoxidil causes water retention and inhibits collagen synthesis.

So to any of you who have experienced those side effects, could you please post a picture here of your face showing your face before starting minoxidil and then after using minoxidil to prove the claims of these side effects? After searching google for awhile, I was unable to find such pictures.

HOw about you just keep using the minoxidil and if you happen to notice any of these side effects, than get off of it.

Im using it and i have none of those sides, at least not noticeable to me.

The reason I am using so much minoxidil is because I read on here and on another site about people using minoxidil in massive quantities and having unbelievable success. I am sick of waking up every morning and look at the spiderweb thin hair on my head. Now granted, I have only been on minoxidil for two months and perhaps I did not give the twice a day 2 ml (1 cap full) regimen a fair shake. But I am losing patience. I got on dutasteride 8 and a half months ago and it hasn't done anything for me. My thinning hair gets thinner and thinner every passing month. I also have been using Nizoral twice a week for 6 months and that hasn't done squat for me either. To the credit of Nizoral though, it does give the slight illusion of thicker hair because it dries the hair out so much. In addition to increasing my dosage of minoxidil, I am also using Nizoral every other day as opposed to twice a week. Lastly, about a month ago, I started applying Retin-a to my head two or three times a week. The ship is going down boys, but I ain't going down without a fight.

I should mention that yesterday, after applying all of that minoxidil to my head, I had a major headache as well as a feeling of nausea that lasted throughout the night and persisted into this morning. After I applied the foam this morning, the headache got really bad again. I am not sure if this is due to the foam or not. I may have to cut down slightly on the foam or flush the foam and just use liquid, which I do not particularly like because it makes my hair look greasy. I don't care for the foam either because of all the alcohol in it which makes my hair extremely dry and brittle. The foam and liquid both suck my balls, but these are very desperate times.

You are probably doing more harm than good. The safety directions in any Minoxidil packaging is there for a reason.
