All topicals applied after a hot shower penetrate much faster and absorb better.

RU58841 in Ethanol/PG mix, normal absorption time: 3-4 hours
RU58441 after hot shower: <60 minutes

I think this has helped me. I put in min foam after my morning shower, and have started showering\vigorously scrubbing my head before applying at night too.

I've had some extra hair growth around the outer tips of my eyebrow\top line of my beard but no side effects otherwise. I use a lot of foam.
