Hiya guys...Used regaine for 6 months and my temples have shot back quickly. Norwood 1 to a Norwood 2.5/3 in this time. Im on finasteride also. Can i expect the temples to hold at a NW2 i'd like that ha!!! also how and how much minoxidil are people applying to the temples, anyone had results?

I've been using minoxidil for almost 6months now and have moved steadily from Nw3 to NW2, although there was a big shed in the first 5 weeks. Obviously the newly regrown hair is a bit thin and wispy, but my hairline still look visibly a shitload better than 6months ago!

Oh yeah and I apply 1ml in the morning and 1ml in the evening and try to leave at least 8hrs between each application.

I've noticed some regrowth in the edges of my hairline for the first time after using minoxidil for about a month.

It depends on genetics how you'll respond to minoxidil, but there is no reason not to try it.

cheers for the responses, Primo, sounds lik your doing well, is that 1ml to each temple or 1ml or both temples...I use the spray nozzle and do 2 or 3 squirts to each temple, think thats wrong :eek:Z :dunno:

I use Regaine currently and they say 6 sprays = 1ml, so I use 3 sprays for each temple. Not sure how it works with the foam though.

3 sprays per temple eh, hmm makes me tempted to start using more, I use 6 sprays but for the whole head as I'm thinning all over as well as temple recession.

I'm also 6ft 3 so I think my system could probably handle a slight OD. I also think that recommended dosage must be a pretty cautious one else it wouldn't be sold without prescription.

I have seen temple growth in my 4 months on Regaine but it's so slow and very patchy at the mo, just looks like a scattering of freak hairs slightly below my hairline.

almost 3 years of applying foam to my temples been a bit of a miss tbh, just vellous dead lifeless hairs. although theres 100s of them there not active/long or strong normal hairs so its like it has failed.

People say to be patient while on the big 3 but I think ive reached a point where its pointless to apply it, If anything my hairlines gone worser and less hairs past 6-8 months so 2010 was a bad year for me.

I may just give up or use the rest of the 3 cans of foam lol not sure.

I think the trick to using minoxidil is too start when your 19-20.... otherwise it just cant work with anything, if I ever end up with a son ill be sure to remind and examine his hairline regularly during that age !

I had this problem so i switched to spectral dnc. Its much less harsh.
